Sheer stories: Nude nylons and white heels

I’ve been wearing nylons and high heels since as long as I can remember, but there is one thing I wonder back to: should I be wearing them with open toe heels? Obviously not all nylons were created different, and not all heels reveal as much of the foot. So the question then becomes one of matching and perfecting.

Those of you who know me know that I don’t have a huge clothes collection, or a walk-in wardrobe filled with dresses and shoes. Thanks to some of my more generous fans, my high heels collection has improved a bit over the years, but I still only have around 10 pairs that I can rely on. As for dresses, that number is even lower, but I do replace them as time goes by.

The outfit.

This particular pair of white high heel mules are super comfortable. They’re knock-offs, that much is sure, but they look so good with their squared-off toe area. The nylons I was wearing were barely there. Looking at a glance you wouldn’t even notice them, but they’re there.

I could feel them against the skin of my feet with every step, but they weren’t uncomfortable. They just worked. They were 8-den nude nylons with invisible toe. Can’t remember the exact brand, but with me it hardly matters as I so often wear pantyhose bought from supermarkets and convenience stores.

More often than not, those are the ones that draw the most attention. Probably because they look so familiar or nostalgic. But that’s a story for another post.

In conclusion, I’d say wearing nylons with open toe heels is definitely possible in more ways than one: if I’d like to draw attention, I could always go for reinforced toes, flashy pedicures, and very open toes when it comes to heels. But I could also go the subtle way like I did here, with invisible toe nude pantyhose and a pair of mules in white, nothing too flashy. I think the brown dress brought it all together, as it was admittedly quite short.

My feet did look and feel great in those nylons, though. I remember men watching them as I was walking around the hotel yard, going up the stairs, or dangling my heels as I was relaxing, waiting for food to arrive.
